the sound mixer for most operating systems is located by the pc's clock , and some are in the control pannel , his troubles was with a setting in there , not a setting in ts

and good luck with your match !

No. If you play games you should be able to figure this out. We don't know what sound card you have, what sound software you have installed, or whether or not you have the system tray icon loaded. So there is no way for us to figure that out for you.

Best I can do is tell you to hover over each icon in the task tray, especially ones that look like they have speakers blasting sound waves. See if one of them has anything to do with sound or audio, double click it, and then folow what M&M's said.

Another thing you can do is go to the start menu - All Programs - Accessories - Entertainment - Volume Control. In there, go to Options - Properties. Make sure the mixer device is set to your sound card (SHOULD BE BY DEFAULT). Then click on the Recording bubble. In the white box with text and check boxes below, make sure the box for Microphone is checked. Then press OK.

Now check the box that is called "Select" underneath the Microphone option. Crank the volume all the way up for the microphone as well. Then go to Advanced (also under the microphone section). Check the box for 1 Microhpone + 20 dB Boost.

Hit close, exit out, and then try talking.
