Ok, i run a free TS for my clan on my linux box running Fedora Core 1.

Basiclly i have a joker that likes to keep comming in, i Banned him but he keeps changing his IP.

As i see it there isn't a way to wildcard ban, you can ban the last digit with a wildcard i think like 10.0.0.* but is there a way to ban like 10.* or by dns? or by name?... because its on linux that provides some extra functionality for scripts and such (i suppose anyway) has anyone ever done something like this? is it even possible?

if it isn't possible to wildcard ban, is it possible to make a script to check whenever a user joins to ban him auto?

I may be wrong, but Im sure you can ban from the second set of digits... say 10.***.**.***.

If it isnt a recognised method then there is definately a way aroundm it because i have seen it before.

So either way the answer to your question is yes. (to the wildcard bit)
