I just thought of this one, as it happend to us tonight. If by chance the server crashes or anything happens that would not let users connect to the server. It would be nice to be able to host a seprate server somewhere else as a backup. It would also be nice if there were a way to specifiy an alternate server in the auto reconnect feature. So that if server 1 goes down, and the client loses connection, it tries server 1 again 1st, then tries to conenct to server #2 automatically which would be the backup server.

I promised everyone in my clan that I'd make this very suggestion over a year ago, but until I had a problem with something I was trying to do with TS, I didn't bother to visit the forums. I was going to do a search, but this was just recently posted! Anyway, I obviously think this is a great suggestion, and I can also say that for the 50 or so members of my clan.

We communicate exclusively through voice coms during games, and we get quite flustered when the coms go down, especially during league play. Often times opposing teams won't allow us to pause, and we lose valuable ground in every game when we have to tab back out and move over to one of our backup servers.

We run four servers in my group, and we prioritize them according to stability and bandwidth. I have no idea what this would take to implement, but I'd like the following features.

1. Ability to designate and prioritize multiple backup servers with the option to go directly to the channel from the server that was lost. This obviously would require the channels to be consistent between the servers.
2. Ability to choose number of attempts to reconnect before giving up on the server that was lost.
3. If the first attempt at the next backup server fails (when there are others of lower priority on the list), then the client should try to connect to the next server without re-attempting to connect. When the list is exhausted, perhaps it could start over from the beginning and keep retrying until the client finds a home.

The reason I say I'd *like* to have these features is because my team has four TS servers that are supposed to be up 24/7, but it's not uncommon to have two randomly down. So, if the purpose of being able to automatically go to a backup server is to avoid having to stop or lose a game, then it makes sense not to have to figure out which is up and communicate that to my teammates.

I think the Auto Reconnect is a great idea
