I have used Teamspeak in the past. No after a few months when going to use it again my microphone is muted. After going to self and clicking the unmute button it still didnt help, so i reinstalled Teamspeak. This did not work either, my microphone was still muted. I do not know what the problem is if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appriciated.

I have a problem, I'm new to teamspeak so I don't know what to do. I can't unmute my mic, period. I've tried everything (and I mean everything)
Downloaded the recent plugins/codecs for DivX and DirectX
Updated the codecs on my sound card
Messed with every possible setting imaginable on teamspeak
Nothing is working. How the heck do I unmute my mic?
btw I'm on windows 2000 pro
EDITED by Guldi: Merged this threads as it is in the same status and it's dealing with exact the same prob as Exodus.Bf request does.
I've tried everything (and I mean everything)
If you really tried everything and it still doesn't work, then i will never work.
You could try direct or wave sound in TS... oh sry, you already tried this.

In windows audo control panel select Options, Properties, Select Recording and hit OK
Make sure the Microphone is slected and raise the volume of it to 100%
I've tried everything I could think of (and I mean everything)
Fixed it for you, Trav.
You did check the Volume Control right??? Right????? You made sure all your plugs were plugged in? That any front ports are connected properly? Have you checked any settings in your soundcard software? Sometimes mics also have a hardwired mute button on them as well, you should check that.
even if it's german, you may probably still follow the pics: http://www.teamspeak-einstieg.de/modules.php?op=modload&name=FAQ&file=index&myfaq=yes&id_cat=5#q6
