This has probably been suggested before, and if my memory is correct, undoable.
Gamevoice used to have individual player joins announcements, ie "ROCK joins" when Rock joins TS.
This was played out to all players. Great....saves wondering who has joined whilst in a game, and the long conversations of,

TS> "LINK ENGAGED"
Everyone> "hello...?"
New Player> "hello"
Everyone> "who`s that ???"
New Player> "Its me..."
Everyone> "erm...who`s me ?"

Now you would have,

TS> "ROCK JOINED"
Everyone> "Oh....not you" etc etc.

Just an idea.
Another idea, global muting by Admin or CA. Mute the pesky player for everyone. Stands as a warning before kicking.
Hope this gets some comments.

I would also consider this to be an awesome addition to our Teamspeak as well.

Another item that I wouldn't mind seeing is a global message to all CA & SA showing a new join with their IP address.

Continually I get pesky people that love to join/quit a bunch of times just for fun to annoy those who are in the server. They do this quick enough to where we can't grap the IP in time to ban them. If their onjoin message showed the IP to just the administrators of the channel or server, this would be a helpful tool.

Yep, totally agree with that one.

I have tried running our TS as open to all, as a great add-on to our servers. Unfortunatley, we have had the problem mentioned above...a shame as it ruins it for everyone, and we have to password the TS to prevent idiots.

just a guess:

- what about having private (passworded) channels => only allow people in which behave the way you set your server rules. If they don't follow, kick them to a "general" channel which may require voice rights or kick them from your server

Do you really want to have people on your server which wast your bandwidth ?

The request for player announement is already in the suggestion forum (I guess several times). So this is nothing new. Although I have no news if it's going to be implemented in TS3 :(

This is true, and yes we do.
I see what your saying on that score, but I was viewing the post above.
Gaining the I.P. address of idiots would be good for Admins. Idiots could then be banned at the Admins convenience.
If you took this theory one step further, we have many friends with in the gaming community, like minded Clans etc. Banned lists could be swapped as are PB banned lists. Thus getting rid of abusive players, or at least sending a message about tolerated behaviour.
Its just a suggestion, and I mean for it only to be tossed about in the forums, to gain peoples thoughts.
