View Full Version : TS and speech recognition programs

I can run VAC, Shoot and VoiceFlux speech recognition programs all simultaneously, and they play nicely; they share SAPI and the microphone input with each other if I assign different PTT keys for each one. They co-exist wonderfully.

But TS appears to hog SAPI; all of these other programs crash and cause errors when TS is loaded before them, apparently because they can't access SAPI. And if I load TS after the other programs, then it automatically mutes the microphone and I cannot talk on TS.
Before it is suggested, I have tried muting one program's input whilst the other's PTT key is pressed. It doesn't work. And anyway, the other programs don't require that effort, therefore I don't think that this is the cause of the problem.

So, if these speech programs are written to share the SAPI, the Speech engine and mic input, what is different about TS that it can't? I would LOVE to be able to give voice commands to AI in the game using VAC whilst still being able to speak with my mates on TS.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.
