View Full Version : Rooms Dissappear
First of all you guys and gals rock!!! TS2 is awesome.
Simply put, I shut down the TS program to reboot the computer it is on and when I re-open it all the rooms are gone and I am back to one room which is Default. What setting am I missing or what am I doing wrong? I really don't want to make the rooms everytime I reboot.
Thanks all.
Are you absolutely certain that you tick the option "Register" when you create a room ?
Yes, as I make the rooms I click registered and sub channel. I made sure tonight. I tried it again and same thing. I go to the task bar, click exit, reboot my machine, open the program back up and all the rooms are gone. kinda a bummer.
Hmm..there are a few more questions to be answered
1. What Server Version are you running ?
2. Are you lgging in with a User that has the right to create Registered Channels ?
3. What Operating System are you using ?
4. Have you checked Permissions on the Server.dbs ?
1. What Server Version are you running ? V2.0.r20.b1 Win32
2. Are you lgging in with a User that has the right to create Registered Channels ? The User has SA
3. What Operating System are you using ? Windows 98 ( i know, but the machine it is on works really fast with it)
4. Have you checked Permissions on the Server.dbs ? That I would need help on, not sure what that is or how to "check"
How come I don't get notified via email when someone posts in my threads?
That is the current version so that can't be the problem
Even if the User has SA make sure that SA's actually have the right to create registered rooms ( you'll find that in the Webinterface -> Server Permissions ->Server Admin and it is called ChannelCreateRegisterred )
Don't worry about Permissions on the server.dbs. Since you are using 98 there is no such thing.

Sounds like a server.dbs write issue. That file needs full permissions to be written to. Are you hosting the server or is someone else?

Did you read the previous answers ?
@Wyld1
The only other thing I can think of is that the server.dbs is has some weired attribute in the Filesystem.
So in File Explorer rightclick on the server.dbs and go to Properties. Then make sure it os not read only
