Friends Sound Card

Hey guys, I just installed team speak for joint ops. My buddy also installed it on his computer but is experiencing difficulties. His sound card is a "Creative SB Live! Series" card, that's all it says nothing else to let me know what it is. None the less he is having the I can't talk but can hear people problem. I was wondering what the heck is that specific card, and if anyone knows how I may instruct him to fix his problem. I tried to help but he has the five port slot (black, blue, green, orange, and yellow) instead of the four like mine. Please help lol it's drivin us both insane.
