Hey everyone,
Downloaded TS today, installed it, connected to a server perfectly.
Now, i also just got ADSL working today, and i then enabled the Firewall on my Billion 7500G router. Then TS stopped working, now from what i've read, i don't have to worry about opening port etc, if i am using the client software...
i have also tried to open the UDP Port 8767-8768...which didn't help...
now, if i disable the firewall it works perfectly.
Here is a sceeny of the rule i made for my Router's Firewall...
anyone have an idea???

hummm that's an interesting one. How is the firewall interpreting what you've entered in those fields?
On pc side, client port will probably be random. So the filter above may block.
For source port, allow all port range (0-32767 I think). In destination use 8767-8768. Leave other fields as they are.
(Im hopeless with source and destination IP ranges and net masks. If the above hint doesn't work then there may be a problem with those.)
(If you ever decided to run a lan server, I think you'd need to add another filter with the values I gave you reversed)
try the "virtual server" tab for setting up ts server ports virtual server is the same thing as port fowarding 8767 - 8768 udp to your lan ip of the pc with ts server loaded on it save your done
also allow if needed the ports in the firewall tab if its blocking ya after you set v-s up

Hi m&ms, Pantonius is talking TS Client problems going outward bound through a firewall rather than server port forwarding here.
What do you think about the entered IP/netmask values m&ms?
I checked up on the online manual from Billion's site but didn't see a screen like this one in it.
0.0.0.0/0 is a standard expression for "everything on the network". It looks quite right to me.
Maybe the router manufacturer doesn't give a damn about standards and you need to use 255.255.255.255/32.
b is on it with the net mask to all 255.255.255.255 that should do it
i miss read the post when he said conected to server as he set up server lol my bad
