Intermitent reception

I have the latest version loaded up.
It seems I'm the only person who has this problem, but I am getting alot of reception problems. It's like thier mic is being switched on and off alot. They also hear me perfect.

I'm running XP-SP2
I have a soundblaster live Soundcard.

that sounds like a bad connection (to slow, too few bandwidth,...) ?
Can you narrow this down to

- specific persons (how do they perform on other servers,....)
- a bandwith problem (lower codecs,... there's a FAQ thread about bandwidth)
- bad connection (packet loss, ping to high,...)
- a sound problem on one side (sound driver, recording HW,...

- This problem even happens when only 1 other person is on with me.

- For the input and output device settings which is best to use?
Wave or Direct sound?

- Should I turn down the quality for direct sound buffer size? (it's set to high)
