Hey! The current version had this annoying thing.
I got a channel on a public server, and I can hear (that lovely girl) every single user connecting and disconnecting. Thats bad, because you and your friends are speaking on the channel and listenning all those "Player left"; "New Player"; "Player left"; "New Player"; "Player left";. Ohh come on!

So I have to disable all sounds?!?!
Now I dont know when my mic is muted or not or my sound output is turned on.

Thats my suggestion!
:P

Hi Gelero,

Um.. Why not just change the files in the "Sounds" directory?

Replace "07.newplayer.wav" and "08.playerleft.wav" with quieter versions of the same, or muted "beep" like sounds, or with a short, completely silent wav file.

Since I use private servers instead of public ones, people constantly joining and leaving isn't a problem. I'd be willing to bet that this is the case for most people using Teamspeak as well.

Simply replacing the wav files with whatever you like might be a much simpler solution for you than waiting for the new version and hoping that it has the feature you need.

you don't have to disable the sound you can ajust the sound output for the "new player" and the rest of the sounds, in the settings tab / options / soundnotifications / volume slider i got mine set to 10 % thats the notch - 1 above 0% and you can still hear it but it's real faint so it's not steping on your normal chat

this is a client side ajustment and all your clients would have to ajust the slider in there ts to enjoy the quiter messages

pbarrette: stated that you can make your own files yes this is true ,but , it only sends the sounds to your client and will still be at the same volume if you don't ajust the slider , enless ofcourse you ajust while recording it to a lower volume . why go thru all that ...
