View Full Version : RightClick+E on Player
I heard this was a bug and I tried it with some members from my clan.
What RightClick+E does when you do it on any player/member it will apply SA to them or take it away if they have it.
I was wondering if there is anything to stop this Shortcut key...
Taking away the bind or something because hackers can do this if they ask and other members with SA dont know about it.
If somebody knows then please post back.
Thanks, Paradox.

Yes what is the deal with this? A user claiming to be from Teamspeak Corp., specifically guldi came onto my server, PM'd me and requested this. They claimed that they were going around debugging servers.
When I did right-click + E on this person, they stripped me of my server admin rights, and then booted me from my server. It appears that it was an attempt to hijack the server or at least make it so that current users would not be able log on any more.
When i managed to log back into my server, i found that my PC IP address had been added to the banned list, with time set to unlimited. I found the same was true for both of the other people who were on the server at the time!
Luckily I keep a copy of my server running on another PC, so i was able to switch all operations to that machine while i restored the first one.
If someone asks you to do this, or claims to be Teamspeak staff, do not listen to them, or give them SA rights! You'll be in a world of hurt if you do, esp. if you have a large client base. Also, i reccomend that you backup all your Teamspeak files, specifically server.ini and server.dbs on a regular basis. Please take note of this, and watch out for any user with the name "Click on my name and hit E!" I would also reccomend banning their IP, and then posting it here so that other server admins can try to prevent this from happening.

*sigh* common sense
#1 It's Teamspeak Systems, not Teamspeak Corp.
#2 guldi isn't even an employee of Teamspeak Systems to my knowledge, at least he's not mentioned in the TS2 client credits.
#3 They're manually debugging ten thousands of servers. Right.
#4 Don't just do anything a stranger tells you.
#5 As far as I know, nobody of Teamspeak Systems is mute. Talk to them, use ripe.net, arin.net, apnic.net etc to check on their IP address. By my knowledge all Teamspeak support staff (except Florence) are from Europe, specifically Switzerland and Germany.
it's not a bug eather it called a short cut , and works the same as the short cuts in your internet explorer , press a key combo and something happens

1) I have my own TS server, so no need to vist it others (unless I help someone testing his new server).
2) I'm not in the Developper Team, so I do not "debug" servers

You can disable the SA's ability to Grant SA to other people. Then the shortcut will be for a greyed out option, and it wont work. :)

fun trick to do is turn on record they start freaking out. and rightclick + b bans the name so start throwing curves at them. its quite amusing.
