I have never had a problem with ts until I got a new hard drive for my laptop. Now when iIlog on no one can hear me but I can hear everyone else fine. The green light next to my name does not light up. I am using the same mic as I was before the new hard drive. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Still doesn't work. My mic works fine because when I test it in the window's menu I can hear myself. If I take the mic to a different computer, it works fine and people can hear me. I don't know what to do. I have not changed any of the settings from when I had my old hard drive. Please, if anyone knows what I can do to fix it let me know.

Those setting have not been changed. That was the first thing I checked when I realized it was not working. I have even gotten another microphone and changed the setting for that one to work and still I cannot be heard.

check to see if you have another sound program running and shut it down..I had the same problem and it turned out to be an mp3 player that would load on start up after i shut it down I was able to unmute my mike and everything worked like it should.

You need to set your sound options again if you reloaded the program. (All these settings you will be changing are located on your TS faceplate. (Where you see all the people in the TS server)

1.) Go to sound input/output settings and set the slider bar to normal under output volume (Set codec to 16.3. Select the test button to see if you can hear your voice. Keep doing this throughout your settins adjustment to see what changes are making a difference for you. Also, Set the slider bar 45% up the bar from the whisper side. Adjust as needed.

2.) Go to settings, then options. Set sound driver for direct sound. Below that you will see sound input and output device. Set your sound card on both sides.

3.) Where it reads : Direct sound buffer size, Move the slider bar all the way over to better quality sound.

4.) Depending on what operating system you are running, (I won't list a specific instructiion here because I don't know what you have) Go to your sound settings and check to see if your microphone slider bar is turned down or muted.

Not sure how experience you are so I listed the instructions in a simplified fashion. This is more to help others who might be less experienced. Good luck! Hope this helps!

Thanks so much!! It seems the problem was with my output and volume bar. I had set them that way when previously using the program. I didn't think that I would have had to change them once I reinstalled the program. They were still where I set them and that had been working fine for me before. But it's fixed now and people can hear me. Thank you to everyone who helped. :)
