It would be nice if TS could provide a "radio emulation mode", to simulate radio in the pre-computer age (WWII, Korea, early Vietnam, etc...).

I'd like to be able to simulate WWII aircraft radio communications. Typically, planes (that had radio) had one of the following setups (ingoring AM/FM considerations):

1) A reciever only.

2) A reciever and a transmitter.

3) Two recievers and one transmitter.

It would be nice if players could be assigned one of the 3 types, but for practical reasons lets only consider the 3rd setup. To simulate this, a number of channels could be setup on a server, numbered something like:

60.0, 60.2, 60.4, 60.6, 60.8,..., 89.6, 89.8, 90.0,...etc..

Players would then select two recieve channels and one primary transmit channel, and could use hotkeys to change these.

So far, this is fairly well doable within TS already (though it could be improved), but to make it work, what players are in what channels would need to be totally invisible (to all but SA's), and whispers would need to work only to channels (ie: no channel commander or private whispers). Channel join messages would need to be able to be turned off.

The purpose is to allow realistic "spying". In real life, if the enemy could find the channel you were using, they could and did listen in, and sometimes even taunt you on it.

I'd love this too for Flight Simulator.
