Teamspeak 3...will it happen, and when??

A few of my friends and other clan member's have been using TS for, well since it came out originally, and I love it, no complaints!! There are the few bugs once in awhile but that is just like everyother program!! Well lately we have switched over, well can't really say switched over, but when there is only a few of us, say 5 or less, we use a program called Skype®....please keep in mind that I am in no way promoting this program at all!! But am wondering if and when there will be a TS3 with as much clarity as this.....I guess it's not really the clarity that turns me on about this program or the virtually "no delay" that it has, which I will take anyday over clarity....it sucks when you are under fire and trying to tell the guy next to you that he needs to get out of there, but he's dead before the message gets there!! Everyone should know what I'm talking about, I'm sure I am not the only one to experience this!!

So anyways there are a few new games that are coming out that my clan will be using TS2 for, but was hoping that we could get a better, more improved version of TeamSpeak....I'm sure that someoone, somewhere is working on this, just would like to know how long!!

the devs are working on it now but are being a bit too closed mouth about it lol was slated for 1st q this year but is now slated for mid 2005 ? and not too much has been said on whats going to be in the new version

Yeah, TS2 is getting kinda outdated. It's still one of the top voice comm programs, but... it's so 2002 :rolleyes: hehe

I want to to know when TS3 is out but what the point knowing it?

1) it slows the coders down

I read a post somewhere that there is a closed beta. Not sure if it's true.

but it would be GREAT if once a month or even every 2 months or so a dev would take 2 mins to post we got this to work today and were now working on this section of code ... we ran into some troubles with x line of code but found a way around it and were still alive and kicking along ------ some thing is allway better than nothing ... then in 30 to 60 days post again ....we got encription to work in the server .dbs file last week and are going to work on this now ..... if the devs are going to be so remote from there users then 2 years ago they should of not said a darn thing about ts3 and made it a surprise in 200X when there done with it !!!! there getting buged now becuse there not saying whats what !!!! or how it's going and it's been 2 years in the making ... so all anyone is saying is what gives and take the time to keep your users informed

That is exactly my point. It's taken 2 yrs and no word on anything. I've know plenty of coders that can code much bigger projects in less time then this. I'm not saying they don't have lives we all do but like M said if they are goin to be so stingy on not letting anyone know what is goin on then don't even mention that you are making it. Just release it in year 20xx when ever it will come out. All some people are asking for is how it is going along some idea's on how it's going to work look, handle and what ever else. Also maybe some sort of date it will actually be out or like I said just look forward to it in year 20xx. Give some people info news and so forth and you will get people off your back.

I would love to know whats up to, don't participate in these forums because I know how to use search and normally find an answer to my problem with out having to post a question ... and I do tech support for a living, I'll leave it to those that do answer peoples questions to help them solve their issues, don't feel like it much to do it my self here. I pretty much only come here to find out whats up with TS3, more now since a post I read from a dev said Q1, and Q1 is almost over. Now it sounds like it will be Q3, and if I find a post from a dev that conferms that, I may not return until then to once again find out whats up.

AS much as we would like TS3 to be released, you guys really do not need to put down or insult the devs on their time frame and coding skills. There never was a posted date of release, and frankly, since many of us use the program for free on our private hosted servers, what is there to complain about? The devs have no time frame to live up to, and we are not putting food on their tables or helpping to support their families. So lay off of them, I am sure they are in touch with the TS server hosts that sell TS server, therfore they also pay TS devs for the usage of their software and they DO put food int he devs bellies. So the only people that have any right to really bug or pressure the devs are those that have paid for the program.

So give them a break, I am sure our patience will be rewarded with an inovative program.

I dont think anyone is complaining about how long it is taking the developers, at least they shouldnt be. They would just like to here from one of them periodically as to what is happening with TS3, just like whats done with it, what has to be done still, how its going. That kind of thing.
