TS vs Ventrilo

TS is better than ventrilo in every singel way except the you can't choose Format on the codecs. If you choose GSM 6.10 in ventrilo, you can choose 44100 hz, 16bit, with is way better than TS best codec settings.

If the quality was better in TS i would use it right away, but its just to hard to hear what people say sometimes so I ended up with ventrilo, but only because of the speaking quality.

You've done a great program, but isn't there anyway to make a better codec or format? If it was me and my clan would gladly download and use TS.

Maby a seperat codec to download as a plugin?

It is just you need to configure ts2 correctly. If you DONT then it will be poor, but if you DO then it will sound as good as real life :)

Then how do I configure it right? The only thing I did was to select it at the room I was creating, anything more?

Hi, i know what you mean i had the same problem, you need to set your own sound settings at the menu(settings -> sound settings -> local test)
Change the codec to speex25.9 and press activate while you are inside the server and at the specific channel, I promise you it will improve.

Edit: Nope it's better but not as good as Ventrilo...

Ventrilio's sound quallity is better then teamspeak period.

The gui and functions of TS i find better though so i stick with TS.

But it would be nice that IF and WHEN ts3 comes out we get some better sound quallity.
