I had some issues with my on-board sound not cooperating with TS, so I went out and got a PCI sound card (Yamaha 724). The problem I'm having now is, Microphone boost no longer shows up as an option under options>recording>advanced. In fact, there are no advanced options at all under recording anymore.

Is there a program that can boost mic volume, or a tweak to re-enable the windows mic boost option? I scoured google, but could find neither. This was the only driver I could find that would work properly, so I don't think I can get out of this by switching drivers (at least not to another yamaha 724 driver)

Thanks for the reply, but I've tried all of that and it's still quiet. I'm using a mic, not head-set, so I need the extra boost. Unfortunately, Microphone Boost is N/A due to the ghetto driver I have to use.
