If the flag is muted by default, it means it could not open the sound device
set ts loggin options to debug, restart the client and look in your in your ~/.teamspeak2/TSclient.log

I experience the same problem as meth.
Here is the only error listed in my debug log file (it seems to happen at startup?) :
---------------------------------------------------------------
-------------- log started at 08-11-02 19:34 -------------
---------------------------------------------------------------
08-11-02 19:34:25,2311,ERROR,All,TOSSioThread.Initialize,Ex ception EOSSException: OSS error in SetFragmentSize: Invalid argument
I am not sure what to do about this..
I use Mandrake 8.2, and my soundcard is a SoundBlaster AWE64 16-bit (ISA PnP).

try increasing your buffersize for the sounddevice in teamspeak.

Buffer size was already set at highest. I tried all the other settings, and the same error keeps showing up in the log.
I guess I will have to keep tweaking with drivers!..
haha, my error log says the same...

mic records just fine, sounds play just fine, no problem there, just with uh, something else :/
