2 TS servers on same machine?

Is this possible by forwarding ports 8767 and 8768 to the dedicated server on my network? I tried running 2 servers on 2 different computers at the same time, and it did not work.

yes you can but you have to change the port used on the second server to 8768 port ,8767 is default both servers cant use the same port , you can allso log in to the web admin with super admin and create a second server on the 1 pc it will use the next port# or a port# you assign

**** edit ***you will need 2 port fowarding rules for 2 pc's !! pointing to 2 lan ip's each with it's own port # to be clear on above

I just went into superadmin and discovered I could do that. Saves a little space that way. I'm setting up the 2nd TS server to act as a temp server for my clan. The guy who normally hosts is going to be moving into a new house and our regular TS server will be down for awhile.

He is going to send me a copy of his server so I can copy it over the temp server, avoiding the need for everyone to reregister. Since I went into Superadmin to create a 2nd server, can we still just copy over the files from the original server. Or will everyone have to re-register?

if your running just the 1 then no it will use the info from him , but if you are going to run 2 then i am not sure how to place his infor in your file and keep your info at the same time , you make be able to pull the db from both and look inside and recreate the one with less info lol users and such or run them of two diferant pc's as you stated above using diferant ports for both and two portfowarding rule pointing to there diferant lan ips ! you will have to inform one of the servers users that there was / will be a port # chnage on 1 server

Thanks again m's. I just recreated all the rooms from the original on my server. I think I'll just let everyone register on my server, it'll be less of a headache.

i got a few friends that get tickets free from there work etc next time i get some i will see if i come up with an extra and send it your way , last time he got 7 and used them all
