Hi all,

This might be a newbie question, I don't know.

What I'm trying to find out is if you can give people Operator rights in just regular channels (not moderated). I want to allow some people to kick others from the server, but not all of the Channel Admins. I also want to be able to have scarce Server Admins, but give those people a little more power, so they fall between SA and CA. Is there any way to do this in the current version of TS2?

Log in to your web admin control panel and check out the various permissions for the various types of users. You should be able to do what you wish.

Sorry, Operator, Auto-Operator, Voice, Auto-Voice come with moderated channels only.

I want for CAs to be able to ban people.
There isnt an option in the web interface, but it has to be possible, right ?

I found where the user is saved, but can the perms be edited directly there ?

Am i the only one who would want this kind of thing ?

You can't change general permissions on an individual basis. CA have the privileges KickPlayerFromServer and KickPlayerFromChannel. If you enable or disable them it effects ALL people with the channel-bound status CA.

I dont want to give everyone SA, cos i want SAs to be able to register people, and i dont want CAs to be allowed to.

am i making sense ?

what they are telling you is if you log into your ts admin you can goto the server your using and edit the permission for CA, so you can let them ban people. all the permissions can be edited for all sa,ca,etc. you just cant edit one persons permissions, if you edit the CA's all CA's will be that way.

you can set ban as a rigth for all (R) users in there permisions

i will log in again when i get the chance. but i was next to sure that it didnt allow CA to ban people. like the option just wasnt in there :(

i wanted to do the same thing but you cant. CA can only make channels
OP cant be used for normal channels you can only make them SA og give R rights to kick/ban

yeah what i actually wanted was a super SA mode, so us the owners can have more rights than the officers

or even specific permissions added onto specific people.

ah well.
