View Full Version : Creative Audigy 2, TS & Half-Life
Hi,
I seem to experience a common problem, namely that when I have TeamSpeak active, I can't use Half-Life's ingame voicecom. TS would still work fine, but ingame it would be messed up.
I've tried:
- using push-to-talk
- updating drivers
- updating more drivers
Any solutions? I know Creative makes crappy drivers (the kind that makes your sound jump when you use PS/2 keyboards :S) but this is realy annoying, since I talk... a lot.
TIA
use your onboard sound for ts and your good sound card for your game , get second mic and cheep / old set of speakers for onboard
in ts settings tab / options /sound devices select the onboard card in the device list / ok
then set a diferant Ptt button 1 for ts and 1 for game
i run 2 sound cards 1 being onboard and the other being the creative 2zs and have 10 speakers and works great now ingame cut out when someone is chating , so i can still hear foot steps
I need a _simple_ solution, I'm using headphones so that isn't really an option.
what os are you running if it's win 2000 no can do it will not share the mic with 2 apps I.E. game and ts same time . this is my work around to the 2000 issue and works great for me . i can't wear head sets for long they give me a ear ache from hell if worn too long
I'm sorry, maybe it helps if I'd say that it has ALWAYS worked for me until I bought this new system with the Audigy 2 (instead of some nForce on-board thing) and that 99% of the gamers I know (which is LOTS) have it working - but also on another card.
WinXP Pro UK btw :)

try setting your ts client to high priority ... settings tab / options / other / process priority to HIGH / ok .... retest

Crap!
I was hoping to find a solution to this problem in the forums. Same thing here. Audigy 2, if I start TS before starting HL2 TS works fine and in-game voice is choppy and completely unintelligible, if I start HL2 first the opposite happens. I have used many over-the-net voice programs, including Ventrillo, and TS is the only one to ever have this problem. Well, I guess I will have to continue my search elswhere. If I find a solution I will surely post it here.
