I've used a few different buttons so far, mouse3[starting from zero] (my 4th button), scroll lock, caps lock... but no matter what key I use, after a bit of use, the key won't let me chat at all. I have to unload/reload TS Client.

Could it be because I have both the client and server on one system?

Also, can you guys code an option for the mouse4[starting from zero] (my mouse button #5) and the ability to do key combos? Like ALT+MOUSE3, ALT+CAPSLOCK, CTRL+ALT+MOUSE3, CTRL+ALT+CAPSLOCK. I have no (within easy access) place to bind the speak key to without overlapping with my game config. If I could do a CTRL+MOUSE3 (I'd like mouse4) it would be so much better! :)

System Information:
Windows XP Pro SP2
Intel Celeron 466MHz
512MB RAM
120GB Hard drive

Active Programs (running while TS Client & Game are running)
mIRC 6.16
AIM 5.9.3702
MSN Messenger 6.2.0205
TS Server v2.0.r20.b1 Win32
TS Client 2 2.0.32.60

The game being played is Quake 2.

P.S. Do you release the source? If so I can make the above changes...

Thanks for your time,

Is your game using the button you are using as PTT button? In that case it is probably the game which blocks it also... Unbind that key/button in your game and it should work fine.

Nope, the game doesn't use it. In fact, I keep TS open all the time. I use it to chat with my friends as well. And for some reason, after sometime the PTT button will stop working. Even with no game running. It seems as if TS Client does a poor job on hooking the keyboard messages.

I also Disabled/Enabled (more than a few times) the Direct Input, the problem still happens. But when disabled, I can't use my mouse3(4)!

This is really starting to be a pain. When I'm in a game, and it works, then stops... I have to get out, reload, reconnect, then get back in the game... just to chat. This really is something small, and should be very easy to fix.

Which mouse do you have ???

With Logitech mouses (for example) you can change the button function.
For example: Mouse(4) becomes the "X Letter" or the "Insert Key"...

Then in TS you can configure this button for your function.

If you have Logitech give a look to http://www.logigamer.com

If you have another mouse try to change button config (maybe not possible...)
