View Full Version : 'Quit' Problem :-/
On my clans current ts just lately numerous people at random times have been kicked from the server in bunches of perhaps 5 at a time maybe more, they arent actually getting 'kicked' as though an admin has done it. as at the bottom it says for example: 'zaaro quit'
has anyone had the same problems? if so if you know a solution to overcome this would be much appreciated as it can be annoying when preparing for a match or in one to be 'quitted' from ts.
It might be caused by horrendous packet loss if it's nobody actually kicking those people.
or a isp resting the conections system wide
or a isp resting the conections system wide
what do you mean exactly. im not very good with ts, bit thick :D

could u explain a bit more like simpler terms..soz
if a isp = internet service provider shuts down all conections any one on that isp will lose connection to you , and have to reconnect
Packet loss means that not all information transmitted is also received. Horrendous packet loss means that more information is lost than successfully transmitted.
Usually you notice this by people being extremly choppy or even completely cutting out for seconds. Unusually high delay might also occur, but it's not a necessity.
i dont htink its what brain is saying, maybe m&m's
it seems that the few american players we have never experience this problem, and europeans do, also the server is american so maybe the connection to the american server for europeans is being d/c'ed sometimes
In that case the round-trip time might be the cause. 180ms seems to be the borderline for joining, however I have no experience values for staying in Teamspeak. All I can tell you if you sever the connection (pull the plug) you get disconnected after about half a minute.
I suggest you monitor the server with pingplotter and write down the exact times when you get booted, then compare with pingplotter's recordings.
k cool, thanks for your help :)

In that case, it could be that a router between Europe and America crashed. In which case the you loose even more data because a different path to the destination has to be chosen. This can kill people off in bunches ;)
