View Full Version : couple errors
Ok, I've read on FAQ that this is a server problem, but havent seen many people having this problem on the forums.. when I try to use a server I've registered to on my address list, I get this message
[07:40:57] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
I figure thats odd, so i went on the server list and i got an error getting any servers on the "Web Server List"... just an error appears on the bottom.
Is this a problem I'm having or is it on the TS end

What makes you belive the FAQ tells this is a server problem ?
=> from the FAQ: Possible reasons when you only own the client (you do not host the server):

pls, read that FAQ again or give us a Feedback how to correct the FAQ to be more specific, thx

99.9% a problem on your side (firewall,... see FAQ again). For the problem not beeing able to get the server list there exists a FAQ entry as well. Of course if you have a firewall blocking all traffic (I don't know, you don't give us too much info), then this could be a reason as well.
I have the same "error getting list" now as well... which I will go into further details below. But, let me reply to your first problem there Bang. You get the "no reply from server. maybe the server is offline..." usually when that teamspeak server is "really" not up and running. You could test this locally with your own teamspeak "server," where you have it running and you connect... then turn it off and you get the error no reply from server. You'd probably have to use the "Quick Connect" option though to find your own teamspeak server.
Have you tried connecting to another server in your local address book... one that is possibly still up and running, and has not changed ip address or server name?
I too get the "error getting list" when I try to view web servers! I recently updated my windows xp home sp2 machine with the latest "security updates" from Windows Update. I think this is the culprit. A friend of mine did the same thing and he too gets this "error getting list" when trying to browse all of the web servers.
I even tried uninstalling and re-installing the latest teamspeak 2 client. No joy! Teamspeak 2 client worked fine before. I could retrive the web server listings without any problems. I even doubled checked my server filter and even with "All" selected for server type, whether passworded or not, etc... no joy!
Has anyone else updated their xp machine with the latest Windows "Security Updates?" and received the same problem?
I am still able to connect to one public non-passworded server I had bookmarked a week ago into my local address book.
Any help or ts client update to resolve this "New" issue is appreciated! Thanks!
