When i connect to a ts server carnt have {}

hello i connect to a server and it says Your nickname contains the following invalid characters {} ? why does it do this is there anyway around it ?

Whomever has SSA, or can actually ftp into the server and actually access the server.ini files etc., can go in and remove those characters from the disallowed character list.
