View Full Version : A little help, please?
So I started a Server, and I got it all set up, so I'm ready to Log in via the Client, and I realised that I dont know what my Server's Address is....so I can't log in. Anyone help me? Thanks,
Jade.  :)
use your local IP address to conect locally (from within your LAN). TS offers a function to see that IP (check the TS icon in the lower right tray section). The IP is usally something with:
192.168.x.x
172.16.x.x
10.x.x.x
If you or your friends get a no reply / timeout error, pls check the FAQ (link is in my signature).

www.whatismyip.com
try that
use whatismyip to get your real world ip , this would be the ip for others to log in to you , if the server and client are on same ip use 127.0.0.1 <-- this is a loopback ip it does not leave the pc the server is loaded on so it connects to it's self
It only shows me my subnet mask lol.
whatismyip.com can't show you your subnet mask because subnet masks are private and not transmitted.
What whatismyip.com does is examine the source address of the http request it received and print it. That's all there is to the magic.
If you think you see your subnet mask you should look more closely at your network settings.
i would like to see that too , take a screen shot of the whatismyip.com page
