It's still recording whatever i say (ECHO) can you help me setup because i dont understand "what you hear" beause i tried turning off wave when i had Direct sound and i could talk but couldn't hear them and when i used wave it just echo'd

1st. in Teamspeak ! the setting tab / options ! this is where you can select your sound driver for use I.E. wave or direct sound . and on the bottom of this window is your input output devices I.E. your onboard sound card or any pci slotted sound card you installed , and even USB head sets . after you select your device you want to use save your choices with the "ok"

2nd. in your sound mixer on most operating systems you can find a service tray icon down by the pc's clock OR type in the start/run THIS sndvol32.exe ... when this is done it will bring up the mixer .from the options tab/properties you can select "adjust volume for" playback or recording .place the dot by clicking on the recording , the info in the window below will change to recordings info . for those with echo uncheck the "what you hear" if your using wave you need the wave checked "common since" I have midi synth , wave & microphone all checked so doing the same will insure your sound will also work we hope after all choices have been checked you need save with the "ok" when this is done a new mixer should appear for recording controls !!! place a check in the box under the microphone then hit the advanced on the bottom there is a "microphone +20db boost check this if you have been told your not being heard that well I.E. faint transmition , hard to hear ...close this also make sure the slider is to the top or as I have it 1 click down from the top .if your using wave you may have to adjust the wave slider and place check in that box swell .. when your setting are as you want them close the window . done go test Teamspeak

BE advised there are a few bugs in windows XP that when you use a application that also needs/uses the mic it can and some times takes it away from Teamspeak and you may have to close ts and reopen it after other app is closed or even reboot pc to get mic back for Teamspeak , some time you have to go back in to step #2 to the mixer and check to make sure the other app did not change your settings !!
