Ok here it goes. Ive never had a problem with TS and connecting to other servers. I usually host up a server on my machine for me and 3 of my friends, i connect with my lan address and they connect with a wan address..never a problem. Well i decided to set up a TS server on my parents machine (different cable provider). I set it up and forwarded port 8767, changed the name and let my friend log in. He was able to log into ts. When i got home I tried on my computer. The Error voice came up. Said the server could not be contacted, wasnt running or something else. So my question is why cant my home pc connect to the server i created while my friend can? Is it a setting client or server side? Thanks.

did you try your parent's wan-ip? (in case you used a domain name, please try the ip)
if your parents are in the same lan as you... use the lan-ip.

Also your parents could have two different ips... you connect to one, the server answers on the other one and your firewall blocks it as it seems to be unrequested data packages from an unknown ip.

in your TSClient.log you should find a more exact error-message, please look it up...
