i am renting an outside ts server and have anywhere from 5 - 20 users on daily ... most all of us come thru completely clear and static/ choppy free , but for one girl. every time she talks .. not matter how many people are on her voice is choppy and we only get maybe 1 out of every 4 words she says, she also says she has the same problem with hearing us. she has told me that she can hear and apparently be heard just fine on the ts beta servers. is there a setting or a better server that i can get or do that will fix this? she is on dial up and runs everquest at the same time ... will this make a difference and what can i do ..to fix this?
see does not have the bandwith to run both at the same time
I don't know how much bandwidth everquest uses but I know (have read) that world of warcraft behind a dial up is nearly not possible to play. Running TS in parallel will most surely not work.
=> My guess is what m&m's posted, everquest uses too much bandwidth.
What she could try is:
- set TS to high process prio (not tis will only help if here CPU gives too much attention to everquest instead of the time critical voice application)
- set the TS server to use the very lowest codec
- make sure that only one people speak at the same time (Note: you can NOT controll this by a TS setting)
If it is better this way, it is def. a bandwidth problem at here side => see needs to get a broadband access.

just to let anyone know who may have this problem .. it seems we have fixed this issue with running at a lower codec .. 12.3 bit or lower .... she can heal clearly and doesnt chop up on our end anymore .. seems dial up even when not running a game cant handle the higher codecs.. thanks for answering guys .. really appriciate it : )
