View Full Version : Team speak breaking up
hi, teamspeak works absoloutely perfect until i c open wolfenstein up?
please does anyone know why this is?
thanks very much
Hi Rushy,
do you read the FAQ??? I donŽt think so.
OK check your Data:
What client do you use? What is your Operating System ( Win98/ME/NT/2000/XP or Linux)
Had you installed DirectX8.1b ???? Have you Voice deaktivated Voice in Wolfenstein???
So check your Data and the FAQ and if there are any Prob again call me!!
okay im gonna help and give u info but not b4 i flame you
has it crossed ur mind that he doesnt actually know any of what ur asking, does it also not cross ur mind that if he did know he may have been able to offer more information, no instead you just insult him and make assumptions about his reading abilities, well for you information it took me 2 hours talking him through this on IRC just to get this information, a bit more than you were willing to do anyway, oh and while were on it ur link at the top of this forum in the anouncement to the faq forum doesnt work.
He uses windows 2000 SP 2
he does have DirectX8.1b and i can only assume you dont play/havent heard of Wolfenstein (full title Return to Castle Wolfenstein often refered to as Wolf or RTCW) as it doesnt have voice in it if it did we probably wudnt be using Team speak
I belive his sound card is SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio and seems to be using up to date drivers although as u can apretiate it can be hard to get this info if you dont know the machine and ur trying to talk some1 through it on IRC
He still has the problem
to summary the problem
If in windows teamspeak works fine
upon entering Return to castle wolfenstein the sound emidiately becomes increadibly choppy and unhearable, there is a few things i am yet to try but one thing i did try was switching his settings to wav instead of Driectsound (direct sound is the current setting btw)
this produced an error
i forget the exatness of it now but it was something along the lines of cannot allocate wav device or something similar
Before you suggest things like re-installing sound drivers (which i am working on) you should know i belive this PC is probably one of those silly ones u dont get the drivers with and even if it does he may now know which disk the driver one is (i realise this creates more problems) but i am currently trying to find drivers to replace his existing ones but without exact sound card make its hard
Oh and i belive his sound card to be on board with the sketchy peice of info i managed to get
Hope this helps i look forward to a responce
OK Thx for the good stuff you gave to me. IŽll have a prob iŽm better in support with cs, because of thats the game i play.
IŽll look for my rtcw an i test it with ts1. It will took a little bit of time so stay tuned!
I could give you some tips, the account by installing ts was an administratoraccount? It should be!! :)
Try to install MS Netmeeting, only install not use :)!!
The num-lock is disabled!!
And if it is possible to make an screenshoot from the error, make it and send it to me by mail or link it.
Thats all for the moment, iŽll try to find my rtcw!!!
Forgive my terrible english, iŽm german :D!
