unable to connect to teamspeak

Can anyone please help, since opening our own server I along with others in our clan have been unable to connect to the server.

All the required information is correct, I have even deleted the older version of Teamspeak 2 and reinstalled 2.0.25.25 version to no avail.

Please Please help a poor sole who has no one to speak to now.

Its a shot in the dark, but are you getting the error "Socket Error #11004"?

if yes, try putting the ip address in the server address field instead of the hostname.

If not, what error are you getting?

Thanks Occam, I believe that maybe what our Computer guy in the clan suggested as we spent over an hour trying to sort it out and finally done it with success. Thankyou any way mate, your are counted as a freind for your reply.
