Hello,

I have just installed teamspeak on my server for a friend and his WOW guild. I must say I am quite impressed with teamspeak, its a very usefull application and I think I will continue to use it in the future for other projects.

Curryently we are just setting things up, with rooms and sorting out who has admin rights and things.

One of the issues that has been found is the default channel (which we have renamed to Lobby) sounds absolutely beautifull but if we all enter one of the rooms we create then the sound quality deminishes. Its almost like a very quick echo. Its hard to describe the drop in quality. When we return back to the default channel its realy clear and good.

I have been searching the forums but cant quite find a thread for this particular problem. The problem is server side not client side.

If anyone can point me towards a thread discusing this or point me in the right direction in general I will be greatly appreaciative

Thanks.

the channel codec is probably a lot higher in the lobby....Login to your teamspeak server with admin privileges, right click on the channel that has good quality, goto Edit channel.... 4th option down, see what is selected for "Codec".... Now just edit each channel to use that codec :)
