ya , i didnt think about it till you posted but i could add an option for the query port, guess i was thinking that most servers used the default port!
and forgot that the query port can be changed in the ini file

I went ahead and cleaned it up a bit and added a query port option!
as for functions i may add some server controls in time.

what do you except from a spy tool, it to be able to hack the planet!

No, but at least a list of channels and players in those channels, as well as sorted and clear information. And of course the possibility that the user can set the TCP Port (not restricted to 51234).
Decidedly unhelpful comment.
- Same for you.

i think he meant it as a joke there, because this tool is free!
and i am not taking donations in any way or form.
as for my TS i dont have one, my clan has one and i just maintain it :>
Great tool. :D Very very handy.
It would be nice if it had defaults for the server port and query port (auto-filled with the default ports).
I'm just wondering about the Servers line in the information pane.
Does it reflect the number of TS servers running on the box? Or does it stand for something else?
If its the first one. How are you able to grab that information accurately. It seems to be that by displaying the Servers amount the program is actively sniffing data traffic coming from the box and if thats the case inactive servers would not be counted in the data displayed.
Also I'd like to see a join function that allows you to connect to a channel.
All in all a very nice program definately looking forward to the next versions.

its how many Virtual servers are running from that TS server.
How are you able to grab that information accurately.
its part of the packets that are sent to the TSspy client.

the TsSpy request the data on the spot and the server give it the info.
no it doesnt autoupdate in anyway, but will pull real time data at the moment you tell it to view a server
currently i am working in the connection code and reviewing it .
and working on adding an option to login from the TsSpy client.
was thinking about adding some admin function but thats would be down the road

I researched it a bit as well and was playing with the query requests. It seems to me that as long as you have access to the query request and would it be possible to pass the sl command along and instead of simply showing the server number showing the ports of the servers running along with it? It would be nifty to have if you implement the administration stuff to simply switch that way between the servers.
Something that'll just allow you to connect to just the query port and getting a list of servers running. I've noticed people giving me IPs to TS servers and never including a port even if it runs on a non-standard port.
Great program man,
It's a Teamspeak Spy program and it does exactly that, great job.
Two very stupid questions before I download it.
1. Can you hear what is being said on the channels.
2. When you connect on TS spy does a physical user connec that can be seen by the rest of the users connected to that channel.

no you can not hear on going chats
no they can not see you at all from within TS
Is it possible that you could include a feature so that you can hear what is going on in the other channels. Also I keep getting the following error:
Cannot connect because the machine actively refused the connection.
help?
hear what in ts is saying without getting a client in ts is not possible
Cannot connect because the machine actively refused the connection.
help?
Maybe the server is running a different query port?

new version of TS spy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
new stuff add or done to the application are
1. TSspy will now hide in your system tray
2. better thread handling for app improvement
3. more cleaning!!
4. a function for Ts Server admins!!! (Obitus)
if you have more then one Vserver TS spy will now list all the
ports for those server for quicker view
just add the master server to the address book and
it will display all known Vservers in the port selection drop down.
5. you can login to a selected server by right clicking the channel listing
6. will auto fill the port and query port option in the address book
so if your server isnt using those port or query port setting you must change them. (Sarc)
if i missed anything sorry about not listing it. spent a lot of time messing with the thread pool and some other function that didnt make it to this version yet
but maybe the next one
How/Where do I find the Server Query Port and the Server Port?

How/Where do I find the Server Query Port and the Server Port?
-Tanner
the query port for the server is located in the teamspeak ini
by default is set to 51234
the server port or Vserver port is the address assigned to the vserver setup on you server, the first vserver is assigned to 8767

ok i was going to hold on this for a little longer but here it is.
a lot of work went in to this version i cant list them all but i will list some.
i also had to redo the GUI from the start do to a mistake that couldnt be undone.
1. new connection code added to allow async telnet for remote tools
2. Super Admin logins "right click the clannel list"
SA tools
1. send messages to a selected Vserver or all Vserver on one TS server
or send an auto timed message
2. add, update and delete Vserver
I guess I am a major noob for asking this, but how do u set it up? i get this error when I open it.
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.

sound like you dont have microsoft .net installed . look on the first post for a link where to get .net 1.1
i think if this program auto-refreshed instead of having to do it manualy by the button then it would be the best thing since teamspeak its self.....i am the host of 4 TS servers for diff clans and i have 3 spys working, all i had to do is reasign a diff query port to each in the server config file and they work great. do u think this would be an option in the future :)
I don't know anyone on here but I can say that this TS program is sweet
Heck of a job Killingspeed Awesome program it works fine and I love it!!!!!!!
killingseed

added new functions
1. TS port scanner for locating TS query port
2. auto refresh on on channle and user listing ,20 sec refresh(CAspy)
for the auto refresh to work you need to select a server from the address book only doesnt work if you input to the fields!
This may seem stupid but, isn't port scanning illegal in some countries?
killingseed
02-12-2005, 21:45
that maybe true if you where scanning for open port to hack in to. but this tool is limited to only searching for ts query port .

I registered on with this forum just so I could say... Nice job.
If you are considering doing any more work on this project, here would be my wish list items:
Play a sound when someone logs on or off.
Display an info bubble from the taskbar icon when someone logs on or off (with Login Name).
Ability to spy a particular server at startup via a command-line switch (if you can't already).
Memory of the last log-in info so that it doesn't have to be re-entered to join a server from the right-click menu.
Option to start minimized.
But as-is this program is real nice. Thanks for your time.

Killingseed, I ran a 'netstat' command and found that any given time I had 20 or or so TCP ports open for this app, mostly as 'TIME-WAIT' or 'ESTABLISHED' with some as 'CLOSING'. Each time your app refreshes it adds a couple of ports and discards a couple of ports. I am spying a single server with just 2 channels and no users logged on.
Just curious if this behavior is correct/expected.
Thanks
The app shouldnt need to do that should it? I would be very suprised if it did!

i am aware of the conntect states that the app makes, i quested it my self at one time, i will say that this is my first time making a remote app and is one reason of the many reasons i made it.
the app is using a query check and close port for some of the info and is also running a telenet connection for some of the other funstions, the query part of the app will open and close a couple port each time it query, and it query like 3 or 4 times for 3 or 4 diffent things.
user , channels , and server grenal info.
this i noticed in my first ts app , my asp.net TSquery. so yes its normal. at this time
i do beleave, if i was to switch the app over to the full telenet session which was add the last update or so, this type of multi connections should go way.

the only thing i can do there is pass you a debug version and see if its somthing with in the app.
i have never tested myself on a german version of .net , didnt know there was one :<
I use this app a LOT as an administrator. Awesome job! This thing is indisposable. What are your future plans for it, and when might we see an update?
Thanks again. :)
