Hi,

I have tried multiple times (uninstall - reinstall) TS with the same result. TS won't launch and just generates a MS error report script. I can't even get to the setup screen. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.

TeamSpeak version (complete string: 2.0.xx.xx): 2.0.32.60
Operation System + Service packs: XP Pro SP2
Soundcard + Driver versions: SoundMAX™/ Dolby™Digital Audio (Onboard an ASUS P4PE mobo)
Game (full name, not short like CS or something, search engine needs more than 3 characters): World of Warcraft
DirectX Version (if its anything different then 8.1 then you probably didn't read the FAQ forum): 9.0 C

Here is the specific error message:
"Exception EReadError in module TeamSpeak.exe at 00019F0F.
Error reading reMessages.Lines.Strings: RichEdit line insertion error."

guys, pls do a search, I can't remember how many times I read "RichEdit line...." error and I don't see why I'd have to search the threads for you ?
Hope that helps... If not, pls post exactly what you tried, error,...

OK, what I had to do to make teamspeak work on my XP SP2 system is a real annoyance. I had to copy riched.dll and riched32.dll from an old W98 SE install disk into my system32 folder. It seems to me teamspeak is not truely compatible with XP.

ok but i dont get any errors and i did searches for "ts wont start" since mine doesnt start and it doesnt give an error info.. as for the .dll i'll try that and you didnt have to get it from a 98se disce ( i don't have it ) so i'll just search the net you can dl those files most likley

Click here for riched.dll (http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?riched20)

I'm having this same problem. has anyone come up with a fix for this? I've d/led the program several times and tried to reinstall. I get the same results, windows starts to load and then nothing happens. I did a search for the hidden file that other posts have suggested but i believe that this file is only created once TS has been opened and used. I have not been able to run the program so that file doesn't exsist yet.
Any thoughts are much appriecated.
