problem w/ css and ts2

for some reason i can only use my mic or either counter-strike: source or teamspeak

if i have css running and join ts is says my mic is muted and i cant unmute it...on the other hand if i have ts running and join css i cant use my mic in game...only on ts

i was just wondering if somone could help me out a bit

1 sound card and 1 mic it cant be use by 2 app's at 1 time on some sound cards and operating systems

most nforce4 motherboards onboard sound will work with 2 apps using the mic at once. I play CS:S, and have 2 different binded keys, 1 for teamspeak, and 1 for ingame voice chat. I can use either at whenever I want, or both at once if I so desire.

It is creative labs newer cards (maybe others too) that seem to have a big issue with this.

switching between wave and direct sound in ts clients setings tab may help , this way the game and ts are not useing the same sound driver

seems as well be OS related (people reported that it may work with WinXP but win2k or older seem to create problem).
