Well folks, I decided to start a new topic about our TeamSpeak Online Checker and here are some of the features and the idea of different version (free version as well as ones you have to pay for).

Free Edition:
- Display Channels and Players with detailed information.
- Join Channels by clicking them (together with LoginData - maybe cookie too !)
- Join Channel with LoginData - same as above
- Design, data and icons can be changed easily.

Professional Edition:
- Own Design and own size
- Show and Hide information, position the information where you want it to be.
- Replace the copyright with your own or even delete it.

See the actual progress here: http://devel.germeshausen.de/toc

BetaTesters:
Actually we have confirmed 3 testers for TOC and there are 3 in progress (we think about them). Tho we still need more, so if you have an own server and site where you can test TOC (Flash 7 required) feel free to mail to support@foxnetwork.de with Subject: TOC BetaTest SignUp and some information about you and your server.

If there are any questions left, feel free to post them in here.

Kind Regards
Marcel

Why do you think earning money for programming software is terrible?
You see you'll get support if you pay and it could be easier for you instead of handling with a free software. I think every programmer has the choice to decide under which license he offers his program. You know it's all work and freetime that is spent. Money for programs is a way of showing the programmer your respect for his skills. If you don't like the program don't buy it.

They don't even need to buy it because there is a free version and the professional version includes several things a normal user doesn't need.

And as Cyrus said, we all spent our freetime to create those programs.

Hi GrayFox,

I don't get it? Why are you charging money for a script that will be used with software that you have to pay for? I mean, people already spend enough money on their Teamspeak servers already, and those hosting companies have to pay too, right?

[/sarcasm]

To the detractors:

Just because you may be able to run a Teamspeak server for free doesn't mean that Teamspeak is free software. Just take a look at the ATHP list if you still don't believe that.

I have written a few programs for the integration of Teamspeak with Delta Force Black Hawk Down, as well as a current-speaker overlay program for DX8 and some DX9 games. However, it has been over a year since I have written any updates for those programs.

Why, you might ask? Well, two reasons. The first is that I got tired of spending almost all of my spare time coding. Needless to say, my wife was rather irate as well. Secondly, my user base seemed to be rather minimal. So why spend all that time coding when I was barely even getting any feedback? I had better things to do with my time.

Now, if my user base had increased, I would likely be charging for some of my software as well. Getting paid for my work would certainly have meant more updates, better software and better support.

When software that you use doesn't include new features you want, the bugs never get fixed, and support is lacking, you tend to get rather irate with the developers whether you paid for the software or not. But when you pay for the software, the developers are much more likely to upgrade, support and fix the software.

And what will be the price of all these "nice" programms (TAP | TSC | TOC)?

Simple. Don't wanna pay for it? Don't.....but the majority of us probably don't care why you don't feel you should pay for software that the developer wants to charge for.

Ginger: you get what you pay for. Pay for his, you get a customized flash-bas TeamSpeak checker. Go free way with yours, you get something that isnt customizable, and CANT be hosted on their own servers.
