View Full Version : I Echo on teamspeak, how to fix this?
Hi, I am new to forums and to teamspeak. My boyfriend and I always played WoW and Eq and used icq phone to chat. On there we always heard each others echo as well as our own. On team speak the same problem. Everyone hears us and our echo. We have tried for years to fix this with no information or a way to solve this.
I would appreciate any suggestions or help resolving this problem. I am a layman at this sort of thing so if there is help please let me know in newbie terms.. thankyou very much :)
considered checking the FAQ ?
this one might help: http://www.goteamspeak.com/faq.php?faq=17
I have checked the faqs, other posts on echo, extensively for hours and spent 3 hours on ts trying to fix the problem. The same problem happens on icq phone when i talk on there.. as with who I speak to. I do not use a speaker, only have my mic and it is plugged into the sound card with the two little thingies.. I also have windows xp. I tried using the .. press the button to speak feature, echo stopped but i had to keep the window open because pushing the key I chose, tried a few with same problem, it wouldn't let me press the button to speak.. it was like I was doing something ilegal the button was reverbing and like it would be flashing.. very frustrating and not understanding why this is happening.
is the mic muted - needed ? "what you hear" unchecked both in the sound mixer !
if you use voice actavation... and the slider is set twards whisper the mic can/will pick up all sounds in the room from speakers , phone , kids ,tv and actavate the mic sending back sounds to the rest of the players in your channel . the corect setting for voice actavation is ajusting the slider twards shout end so only your normal voice set the mic to on try a few ticks at a time till only your voice sets off the mic
