Error

Hey, I just downloaded teamspeak yesterday and installed it, I have tried everything to get it to work, I have reinstalled many times. During installation it says on the Codec Installation the following -

OS type: Windows NT 5.1 (Windows XP) Service Pack 1
Found CELP file entry.
Found CELP desc entry.
CELP file found.

I dont know what thats talking about or if it has anything to do with my problem. My friends gave me the server address and the password so I go to

Connection > Quick Connect > Server Address (I type in the IP) Nickname - Maximuz, Password - (Password)

And when I do this it does this EVERY time -

[16:51:25] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running it

I know for sure the server is online because my friends are on it...please help me asap : /

make sure your typing the ip right, also make sure you have the right port.

eg 127.0.0.1:8888
^ ^
IP PORT

also make sure you have allowed your firewall to conect.

thats what im thinking that my firewall is doing somethin, My IP is correct...both me and them made sure...them - Spammed it forever, me - wrote it done and know it buy heart

there are many diff. firewalls available and all are configured different. You might be a bit more specific and read the manual of your firewall by yourself first.
The ports required by TS are mentioned in the FAQ
