Guess what.. there's NOT that much information on this error. For the one's who connect and then get disconnected in 2-30 seconds, there are hundreds of posts with the problem and none with a consistent solution. Changing the logging method hasn't done crap.

THis problem sounds a lot like my problem:
I have the server running on a dedicated IP (Roadrunner Business Class), limited to 16 users, password entry, Win2K Server machine up to date and virus free. I have 10 users (most with the latest client release) who use the server regularly.

Sporadically, without consistency, all but the same 2 people are kicked. "Timeout" and it takes a few minutes before we can log back in and talk to the two people who were left behind with no problems at all. It is not a timeout problem, because people are getting kicked no matter how active they are. This happens in 5 minutes, 3 hours, and such after login. Why would some people drop and some not? Why would it take hours sometimes and minutes another?

The server and the clients are latest releases (a few clients have older releases). The two that never get kicked are NOT using the latest release.

I would REALLY like some intelligent input on this type of issue.

clients getting droped could be from any 1 of thousands of routers /switches , or ISP with a hip-up / droped connection , or mantance on a pice of equpment , and your packets getting rerouted in mid stream

"sadly" this is one input more that older client versions aren't that timeout sensitive
