Sry. I have looked on the forums and have not been able to find out about the problem I am having. I have a person who can not connect to server that I am hosting on one server box. I set up another TS server on another server box and he still can't join. He has connected to this server before then next time (like a day or 2) he can't connect. He is able to connect to other TS server but not the ones I host.

My ban list is empty.

I am soooo lost now.

Any help will be great. :)

The TS servers are running on:
WinServer2003 Web Edition

Any more info needed, please let me know

Thanks

check your port fowarding , make sure a power spike did not mess it up . make sure he is useing to correct ip:port # , make sure no fire wall is blocking connection both ends

Ok. I have checked every thing and all is in good shape. He has been turning off his firewall and still nothing. He has the right IP and port #. He has been a registered user on the server also. We tried signing in as a diffrent users and as Anonymous.

What I don't understand is, how come he can join other TS servers and not the one I host anymore? I even set up a new server on a diffrent server box.

Anything else to try?

Thanks

have him conntact his isp to test his connection , ask them if there blocking any ports , wate 20 mins or so after call to see if he can connect then , A-tipical responce from the isp is no there not blocking ports but it seems like some say no then unblock them a few mins latter

Ok. He called his IPS and waited about an 1hr. Still no luck.

So where do we stand on this?
Will he never be able to join the server again?
Should I reinstall the TS server?

Thanks for all your help m&m's

it is something on his end , he could try to deleat his teamspeak.conf file or rename it to old_teamspeak.conf this file holds all the client side info server names ip passwords etc. and has been linked to some connection troubles , thou his does not sound like it's the same it is still worth a shot . the file is a hidden file so he will have to go to his folder options in his control panel and set it to show hidden files and folders

Ok. He has tried looking for that file and could not find this.

Any other ideas or could this be part of the problem?

Thanks

he will have to allow hiden files and folders , then do a c:drive search for it .it is not in the teamspeak folder

also any firewall app on his pc could stop his connection to you

OK. He found the file and deleted it. Still no go. He can contected to another TS server that has the same port numer,8000. Just the IP and host are diffrent. Even tried mydomainname.net:8000 and still no go.

Is there any other things that we can do?
He has all his firewalls turned off. We even open the ports on the firewalls. He has alao tried taken the router out and tried straight to the modem. Has tried resetting his modem.

We are so lost!

Would reinstalling the TS server work?
Now I have 2 TS server's on 2 diffrent webserver box's.
He can not connect to either one. I have made so many new servers with so many diffrent ports. Nadda...

Now he has even formatted his HD and reinstalled Windows.

I think it almost time for him to leave the clan. :D

Thanks.

client side there is no diferance between 1 server and another as far as connection goes if you can join 1 you should be able to join another . he must be copying down the ip wrong or something ???

only other thing i can think of is there is a bad connection along the www route someplace between him and your server ?
