Annoying sound emmiting

I use both ventrilo and Teamspeak. on my friends ventrilo server my microphone dosnt make an annoying sound. But when i go on my other friends TS server, he says (and somtimes I can here myself through his speakers) that a very high pitch sound turns on when i hold down my mic button. I have tried to re-install and i dont know what to do. Please help me!

1) if yo ucan hear yourself throug hthe loudspeaker of your friend, I'd suggest your friend reads the Echo FAQ thread as his sound settings are probably not correct.

2) Concerning your mic problem:
- does this occure with voice activation as well
- tested wave or direct sound in TS
- checked your recording levels in TS (you might have to play around with them a little bit)

His friend is just using speakers there is no problem with his set up.


Try using wav and not direct sound. Also is he running the server off his computer? Or is it hosted or off site computer? It could have problems with his computer running low on memory.
