Then they achieved what they wanted. TS is free for everyone, there is no way to take TS away from them.

They are a bunch of script kiddies that only want to get people upset by running thier little tools that someone else created for them.

If they got you to yell and scream at them then they got what they wanted.

Follow my tutorial that I created to help protect your TS server from being affected by these script kiddies.

Actually there is a way to take there TS away Mr. Ralph from Ts has done it once before to warn them. Believe it or not they know alot more then you think. The reason why they do TS server's cuz there so easy to do and to get traffic to there TS and site so they can hear everyone bitch. Learn to set up a TS server right and you won't have that problem. Go in there ts and look at the permissions on how they have there's done.

OK, didn't know that. But I guess they didn't learn their lesson.

Any Group/Individual that their main purpose is to actively piss other people of because "they can" are assholes and idiots. So no I don't think they are any smarter than little script kiddies (of course there are a few that are writing the scripts, but hey they are still idiots for their motives)

I have and not by going to them. The thing I have been saying for month now is the fact that if the default installation of TS is so vulnerable then make some of the changes to the default installation that I made after I installed. Less people would be here complaining and *****.com would have to find someplace else to bug people.

**** Why on earth is the word g 0 0 n s filtered here?!?!?!?!****

Maybe the people here should do more than filter thier name and take action.

TeamSpeak is a free application with limited development and support. You must take some responsibility in running the application and secure your server with the tools that are available.

The word is filtered because they only do what they do to get a rise out of people and feed their egos and people posting about them and linking to them only fuels them more.

If you are running your own services you need to take some initiative to research and care for the security of your system, especially when it comes to something so well documented.

I completely understand free application development and support, I am involved with many. But with that I also understand when there is an issue like people could potentially, utilizing application features, take control of the application then I would have posted detailed information about it and how to prevent it and most likely referenced in the applications documentation.

The word is filtered because they only do what they do to get a rise out of people and feed their egos and people posting about them and linking to them only fuels them more. OK, that makes sense, I was just a little frustraded lastnight

I am running my own TS services and I did take some initiative to research and secure my system. But when I posted what I had learned instead of it getting stickied it gets moved and buried in the suggestion for the next TS forums (http://forum.goteamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=23726), not sure why because it not suggestion for the next system, it is information on securing the current server version.

And your right about the filter, but I think there should be a post that says "OK you were hacked calm down, this is why.... and this is what you need to do to fix it and prevent it in the future...." If there was that kind of post here then I wouldn't be gripping at all and would be quite happy.

When I got hacked by the script kiddies that was my fault because I hadn't thoroughly RTFMed, but when I came here to find help there was not much to find and when I posted I got basically told that it was my fault because my SA's didn't have hard passwords.

If you (or anybody) has any additional suggestion to the post I made on Stregnthoning TS Server Security (http://forum.goteamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=23726) please post, I am looking for more.

I am sure someone was confused by the "Suggestion" title. I have moved it back and stickied.

It would be nice if the TeamSpeak makers would require that all TeamSpeak servers would be authorized even if they were were free ones. So they could just remove one if they found out that someone was using it that hacked or soemthing (like the g o o n s).

That is an idea, but I don't belive the makers of TS want to become TeamSpeak community police.

Actually Ralph did do something about it he black listed the ***** ts at one point and told them if they didn't stop he would blacklist there TS forever. They came to an agreement and the ***** said that they would stop so the blacklist came off. I have an irc chat log of Ralph and Zero about the issue somewhere I would post it but Ralph prob wouldn't like it. Anyways everyone will just have to wait untill TS3 comes out for a new update. I'm sure there will be prob's within the first 6 month's of that though.
