Greetings,

I am having a strange problem with my mic. When I talk in TS, I cannot hear my own voice. I can hear everything else; people, music, etc just not myself speaking. Can anyone suggest how to fix this? I have an ASUS A8N-SLI board using the onboard sound if that helps.

Regards,

Izzy :)

Edited to add that I have tried the solutions in the posts on this thread and they have not fixed (MIC boost, slider etc)

Well I also have the same board with the AMD FX-55 and have no problems at all. Try going into TS goto settings then options then the sound devices tab and make sure at the bottom you have the right hardware selected for both the in and out and try direct sound and wave both and see if that's a difference.

ok you WANT to hear your own voice when you are talking on TS? Because thats not normally what people want.

I have tried both direct and wave using both hardware options. If it works on yours, I am clearly missing something so I will just play with it till it works.

I want to hear myself as others do so I can regulate my volume. Without hearing myself, I have found that I have a tendancy to yell. (somewhat like my def grandmother) :)
