Hi

I formatted the hdd on my computer today and re-installed windows xp home. Since i installed ts, it will not let me access any servers. I keep being told that i am entering an incorrect username or password.

I have tried using my existing accounts on servers to join, and i have tried signing on annonymously. I still get the same error. I have asked the admin on one of the servers to remove the server password so that i could try to log on, but it still said name and/or password wrong, but i didnt need to supply a username or password :S

I have got the windows firewall turned off and am using the same firewall with the same configuration as i did before formatting my hdd. I really do not know what could be causing this. I would be very grateful for any help that anyone could give.

I think you server is password protected. Registered users don't need a password to connect to the server...

Sorry, i'll re-word.

i tried logging onto some servers with my existing accounts on those servers. I also tried logging on to those same servers annonymously and using the server password to log in. I even got the admins to temporarily take off the server password on their server and tried logging on annonymously and got an error message saying that i used an incorrect username or password even though i was logging in annonymously with NO server password required.

Hi

I just tried joining one of the servers through the web server list and it let me join. I created another account on that server and filled out the details in the local address book (all the details were definately correct) and it would not let me join the server i was on about 2 minutes before.

So in short, i can join servers through the web server list, but not through the local address book. Has anyone had the same problems or anyone know what i could do to fix it?

TIA

Are you sure the server created your new account? Maybe the server can't write into the database...

You could try to delete your clients hidden TeamSpeak.Conf file...

the server definately created the account. I tried looking for that teamspeak.conf you mentioned but could not find it. Where is it located?

C:\Documents and
Settings\<USER>\Application Data\teamspeak2\TeamSpeak.conf

But it is maybe hidden in the Explorer. Must activate in the options to show hidden files

Enter this URL into your explorers address bar: %AppData%/teamspeak2/
