A few minutes ago me and 5 of my friends were banned from OUR server by a hacker. his name is Born. if a modderator reads this thread i must advise them to ban born at once!!!

No one on thsi site can Ban anyone. Can you give more details? Was he an admin? did someone give him admin? did he impersonate anyone? Also you should contact your host and tell them about ti so they can fix it for you.

All I am saying is that: if you pay for someone to host it then to get it back just tell your hoster. Or if you host it yourself, you can correct the problem. Just next time back up your "server.ini" and "server.dbs" files and you just replace them after you get somethinig wrong with your server and you will be fine again.

seriously:
if someoneīs got fun to restore channles and setup, donīt make db backups.

The easy way to hack an SA account ist to look at the Ban-list, thereīs the loginame in plain text !!
Lots of users who are granted an SA right, already registered themself or are allowed to register themself.
Most of the time they use weak passwords, cause they didnīt know to get SA.
Then they are upgraded from R to SA, and use still a weak PW :eek:
(peter-speak, or jim-12345)

Itīs much more safe not to grant SA, but to create a new SA account by the admin, who can combine a clear cut of name (eg. "jimserveradmin" and a safe password "gdtFF45jU76" for example.)

On every server I got, there are at least 2 admin accounts to keep the system going, when the rain comes... and 2 SSA accounts, which are not called superadmin.

My host was banned. he came in then right away banned us all

LoL you must not have a very good host then cuz if you did he or she would be able to get it they can always get in even if someone bans them. Well I sould say as long as it's a real host company that know's what there doing and not having it running on there pc at home.

Let me also say for the million time that this forum can not do anything if you TS get's taken unless they actually host it for you. If that is the case then you should make a supprot ticket not start a new thread of something that everyone in this forum already know's about. Call you real host for the TS server and have them fix it if they can't then there a crappy host. If that's the case send me a pm I know a kick a55 host and good prices and know what there doing and always online for tech supprot if needed.
