Two fresh installs on two systems, same problems on both. Both have similar hardware so it's either an OS incompatibility or driver incompatibility.
Windows Media Center Edition 2005 with all the latest updates.
Teamspeak installed successfully. On first attempt to run system spontanously rebooted. Microsoft error reporting stated a device driver error.
I have onboard sound on a retail Intel D945Gczlr motherboard which utilizes the SigmaTel STAC9221 chipset which is purportedly high quality and dolby authorized (if that means anything). The drivers are the most recent available and the system has the latest BIOS flash.
I would be happy to provide further information. I can repeat this spontaneous reboot every time I attempt to run Teamspeak.

1st: prevent Win to reboot by application errors:
right click on your "my computer" icon
properties
advanced
start & restore
settings
Thereīs a field "System error" with option -> reboot/restart automatically
uncheck that
2nd: check the TS client logs
search for the file: TSClient.log
whatīs listed there?

1st: prevent Win to reboot by application errors:
It's not a blue screen, it's a hard spontaneous reboot. There's no preventing this one.
2nd: check the TS client logs
0 bytes and empty.
Windows event viewer System is also empty, and Application corrupts when this happens, so I can't view it until I clear it.

A bluescreen doesnīt cause a reeboot.
Itīs an option of windows to make reeboots or not, while critical errors occour, follow my instructions to prevent reboot.
Then:
Open Ts client, settings --> options, Log options, try "error" or "debug"
report what the client logfile tells.

Running Teamspeak spontaneously reboots my computer.
To clarify, double click iconSCREENBLANKS, loading Windows.
These are two very stable systems, so the hardware or software itself is not suspect, but possibly incompatible.
Running Teamspeak is not vital to me, but I figure someone else will have this problem in the future and with me having some hardware experience, I might be able to help prevent it.
Due to the many reboots in trying to trace / debug this problem I've decided I'm going to format this system in a few days. At this time, I'll try running Teamspeak prior to sound driver installation and post sound driver installation to see if that is where the incompatibility lies.
I'll continue checking forums in case other suggestions are offered.
I bought a brand new system and when i bring up TS it auto reboots as well, this is a brand new system, so it has to do with our systems somehow.

What form of audio chipset are you using?
If you're not sure, click your right mouse button on "My Computer", go to Properties on the little menu, the Hardware tab and then Device Manager. Scroll down to "Sound, video and game controllers", expand the plus sign and it will say somewhere in there.
Mine is Sigmatel High Definition Audio Codec.
I'd be interested to know if yours is the same.

edited instruction "system" --> "my computer", this option keeps your computer from rebooting.
This "automatic reboot" is default, follow instructions to prevent it.

most surely not as it runs ony thousands of systems quite stable.
brand new => new HW => new drivers which are in MANY MANY times not too stable (as there is usually not time for testing them).
However, this discussion doesn't help anyone:
In the past system rebots were mostly linked with driver problems so I'd look for updated drivers (sound, grafic, directX, USB,....).

Possibly in his case, but in my case I have the most up to date drivers.
This is definitely, without a doubt either:
A bug with Intel / Sigamtel sound drivers or
A bug with Teamspeak communicating with my system drivers or
An incompatibility between MCE 2005 and Teamspeak
As I said, this is on two brand new systems with fresh installs.
As before, I'll post again after I do another format.
It must be your particular hardware because I have MCE 2005 (Build 2600 I believe)on a brand new system and it works fine. I'm not sure what my sound card is, though it is onboard.
I have the same problem i just build my comp and i dl ts and as soon as it finishes i reboot and when i get back into windows xp pro and i click on the icon it reboots again.
I have the D945Pvs mother board from intel and us the onboard sound witch is sigma tel high def
I tried to update the drivers but they were the newest to date. I removed TS and redownloaded still same problem
fixed mine just had to unistall and reinstall the driver. now sure how it installed anydiffrent than friday.
