I've searched the forums and haven't seen anyone with a response to this, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Sure enough I have a santa cruz, my problem however is that I am getting no output from the mic. I can hear it over my headset, but windows isn't getting a level and neither of course is TS. I've checked all the boxes that need to be checked in regards to what windows thinks is recording, and what is selected, as well as all the input levels through the Santa Cruz panel and windows itself. I've tried switching the mode in TS to wave as well with no avail.

So any suggestions besides the obvious get a new sound card posters?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Try the "Microphone Boost" option.

You shoud not be hearing your voice through the headset. In the Santa Cruz control panel on the mixer tab click the mute button at the bottom of the microphone slider. You dont want it active all the time.

Did you make sure to check the master volume level for record source on the main tab as well? Make sure your record source on the main tab is set to Microphone and of course make sure the mic is actually plugged into the correct jack, the pinkish one right next to the yellow versa jack.

Control panel/sounds and audio devices: On the audio tab under sound recording make sure Santa Cruz is selected. Click the volume button and make sure the microphones selected box at the bottom is checked and that the volume is up.

I know some of this may be obvious but want to double check, so dont take offense.
