Mic Problems & Soundmax

I'm having this weird problem with my mic and my Asus P4P800 Deluxe motherboard (with onboard sound via Soundmax) that, after about 10-15 mins or so, my mic stops working. I go into settings, and find that the front microphone box is checked (I use the rear mic jack). So I uncheck that and everything works again. But, lo and behold, 15 mins later, the mic will stop working again and, when I go into settings, the front mic checkbox is checked again. What is going on? The inverse is also true - if I connect to the front Mic input and check that box, everything is fine, until about 15 mins later when the front Mic input box gets unchecked.

Any suggestions? This is driving me crazy.

I have a simular problem. with my p4p800-VM board. but it stops working when I play CoD2. maybe if they answer your problem. then it may work for mine as well. who knows.

that does not sound like a TS problem, but rather like a (crazy) driver problem. If updating drivers does not help, I suggest you contact a support forum for that board & sound chip

From TS side I could only imagine switching from wave to direct sound or vice versa, but I'm quite sure this has nothing to do with your problem
