Hello all,

My problem is this. My friends and I like using TS when we play BF2, since it is much better than the in game VoiB. The only problem is, when I have TS and BF2 running on my machine I get horrible lag. To the point the game is unplayable. If i turn off TS, things are fine again. My ping during the game, depending on server is typically around 30- mid 50's, but when TS is running there have been times that it spikes to 300-400's. I don't get any of these 'spikes' when I am just running BF2.

I have tried having myself and my friends all change TS bandwidht requirements in and out to as low as 15... still lag like crazy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mace

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, or just Good Night, whichever applies, he is your quick fix.

i run a very large community in Battlefield 2. we have a large, community of teamspeakers that like to talk to us directly and split up and talk and play battlefield and have many issues with the software of course, but have weeded out all the possible type of issues that relate to the software. steadyfasting, we found that its not the software, of teamspeak, nor battlefield 2, is that they both like bandwidth, and hate sharing it with each other,

when you are online playing a game, you have a ping, which is the connection you are connected at, using bandwidth from your provider, the higher the ping, the laggier it gets. now with teamspeak on, and battlefield voip on at the same time, the entire bandwidth rises very greatly, and causes your system to very much freak out, and lag to a point that you cannot play.

so now you have to make a choice, and either, turn on teamspeak and turn OFF VOIP in Battlefield 2 main menu, and play like that, or

turn off teamspeak, and turn on VOIP and play battlefield 2... but i recommend that you keep teamspeak up. it easier and alot faster than the voip software built in already.

we are collecting a database for battlefield 2 users and teamspeak to better help the community and you can find the information shortly on bf2un.com

hopefully i made since typing this up
