Ok, my uni uses a proxy server, and I connect to their network via a vpn.
I cant start TS or any games, but I have configured msn and IE to work ok.

Please help me find a way!

You'lle need a 3rd party software to use TeamSpeak with a proxy-server. Use the forum search.

Forget about running a server. That is not possible.
(Actually it is possible, however it is rather complicated and involves a server outside the network which would defeat the whole purpose of hosting using the university network, wouldn't it?)

Client programs like games or Teamspeak IS possible using a socksifier and socks2http to tunnel your traffic through port 80 to an outside endpoint server which in turn distributes your data. There are some free endpoint servers, however in general your latency will be quite high which would probably make it useless for gaming or even voice communication.

On a side note: The university is doing that for a reason. Before you experiment with tunneling the proxy make sure that won't be a violation of the terms of service or code of conduct. I'm sure you dislike being expelled or cleaning monitors, keyboards and mice in the university's public computer pools for a semester.

They do it to stop people using Limewire etc. Im pretty sure it is ok, if it can be figured out.

I dont want to host a server, I want to join one :(
